Welcome to the Whistler Blackcomb Bike School!
When you are hired, you will receive a new employee setup form from email@example.com. Please complete as soon as possible. **Everyone newly hired into the mountain bike guide position will need to fill this out, if you have worked for Vail before we will match with your previous employee profile after this step has been completed**
Within 2 weeks of your start date you will receive an important email from firstname.lastname@example.org with your final onboarding forms. Please follow the steps outlined in the email carefully to complete the hiring process and get access to our vail systems.
If you have not received this onboarding email within two weeks of your start date, make sure to check your spam folder. If you are still unable to find the email please contact Lucie our hiring master at email@example.com. For the best results experience we recommend using a desktop computer to complete this process.
Once you have completed the final onboarding steps, please then go to the Employee Services located at the Springs Building to check in.
You will need to submit the following documents at that time:
- Government Photo ID (Passport or Drivers License)
- Valid Canadian Work permit (if applicable)
- Criminal Record Check
- Social Insurance Number
If you want to make sure you didn't miss anything check the new hire checklist located on the Epic Employee website. If you are having troubles with the onboarding process or have questions, please read through the FAQs and you can also request support.
You will be required to complete 2 full days of mandatory training (Note that all the mandatory pre-season training is paid.)
The first set of training you will do is your online new hire training. This will come to you as a series of emails from Vail and a program called Saba/The Lift. You can access the trainings directly from these emails or by logging into Epic Service and clicking on the My Training & Development Tile.
